Shasta Community Health Center (SCHC) is a non-profit primary health care system and is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). SCHC is based in Redding, California and has served Shasta County and surrounding counties and communities since 1988. Shasta Community Health Center's mission and purpose is to provide high quality health care to our community with compassion and understanding. Since inception, the health center has grown steadily and now includes eight locations in Redding, Anderson, and Shasta Lake City. At it's flagship health center in Redding, SCHC provides primary medical, pediatric, dental, vision, mental health, urgent care, specialty consults, telemedicine, and HIV services. SCHC specializes in health care for the homeless, provides a ready point of access for the developmentally disabled population, and is a primary resource for medical treatment of substance abuse. SCHC sees close to 40,000 patients, providing 140,000 clinical encounters annually. SCHC employs close to 500 staff and over 100 healthcare providers.
